My Documentary
For my Visual Storytelling course I was tasked with creating a documentary. I chose to make mine about a retirement community and golf course in San Marcos, called Kissing Tree. I used Adobe Premiere Pro to edit, the Hollyland Lark A1 microphone for audio, and the music is from Thematic.
Social Media Video Interview Reel
During my Social Media Video course at Texas State University with Professor Sara Shields I was tasked with making an Instagram Reel Interview of a fellow student in my Digital Media Innovation major. I learned so much about b-roll through this project and it ended up helping me so much with my longer form documentary project that next semester.
Another one of the Instagram Reels I did for my Social Media Video course was this second video where I was tasked with making reels for the Texas State University Recreational Center who later reached out to post this video on the official instagram account.
SJMC Static Posts
During my time at Texas State University I had the opportunity to be a social media intern for The School of Journalism and Mass Communication where I was able to run the official Instagram account and create content for it. I assisted in editing many reels but I spent most of my time creating static instagram posts such as the one above for National Barbie Day and for Easter. I created these by first wireframing and then creating the final product in Adobe Illustrator.
SJMC Reel Editing
These are two of the Instagram Reels that I edited as mentioned above. I was tasked with editing the footage together seamlessly as well as caption work. It was such a great opportunity to grow my editing skills. For these two reels I used Capcut with some graphics from Adobe Illustrator and Canva.
SJMC Internship Final Presentation
My final project in my internship for the SJMC was this slideshow where I go through my experience and what it was like. I had a wonderful experience and show some of my work and projects!
Capstone Bootstrap Exercise

In my Digital Media Innovation Capstone course I had to create a fictional business in an area that needed it. I chose ticket queuing systems with my group, afterwords we were tasked to make it our own individually, and make a site to pair with it. Mine is called Tixie, you can find it here!
Capstone Research Project
Cover To Cover Ad
Cover To Cover was a fictional website made for the Web Design and Publishing course at Texas State University. The premise is that it was a company that specialized in making custom book covers with a collaborative team of designers and artists. There were different packages you could choose from a simple paperback to an authors edition with sprayed edges.
HTML Website

Another part of taking Web Design and Publishing meant creating a HTML website using CSS. We had to pick something personal to us to make it about, I chose my pets. It was my first real glimpse into designing websites and where I learned what I know.
Bootstrap Exercise

Bootstrap was my favorite assignment in Web Design and Publishing because I truly was able to design it to my heart’s content. It was a very fun exercise where I found statistics on popular book genres and highlighted a few of my book reviews.
Youtube

I have a youtube account where I get to showcase my video editing skills and talk about all things bookish! I have been editing videos for over a decade now and It is something I enjoy so much. Above is a couple recent vlogs.
Social Media Analytics Report
Bookstagram

I do a lot of digital design and social media management work for my book reviewing instagram. Whether it is a monthly wrap up, such as the one above, or a book review I take my time crafting them and I have fun doing it!
